Dr. Razdolsky and everyone here at Forever Smiles wishes each and every one of you a wonderful holiday season. No matter which holiday you celebrate, this is a festive time of year for everyone, so we hope you enjoy every minute of it.

A snow storm couldn’t keep about 500 Hunger Games fans from the AMC Showplace Vernon Hills 8 on Nov. 21, when we treated patients and their friends and family members to a private showing of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

This annual event has come to be something our patients look forward to as a way of kicking off the holiday season. We enjoy doing it, because it’s a way for us to celebrate our patients. Without you, we wouldn’t be here! Thank you to all who came. It was a great day.

Since this was the final installment in The Hunger Games franchise, we’ll be on the lookout for a new movie next year. Feel free to give us your ideas!

As you’ve noticed during your appointments over the past few months, we’ve been making some office improvements.

We have expanded our office by adding 1,000 square feet of space, which provides more seating in our reception area.

Thank you for referring your friends and family to us. Those referrals are the reason we needed to expand! We’re excited that the renovations are wrapping up, because it means we’re that much closer to better accommodating our patients and guests. We appreciate your patience throughout this project.  

We’ve always said you’re never too old to achieve the beautiful smile you’ve always dreamed of, and thousands of adults have taken that to heart by becoming our orthodontic patients through the years.

With the holiday season upon us, and New Year’s resolutions right around the corner, we know that smile improvements are on many wish lists this month, and among many goals for 2016.

When you have a consultation with Dr. Yan Razdolsky, there are some considerations he must account for that often are unique to adult patients when he develops a treatment plan. They are:

• Past dental work- Crowns, fillings, root canals.
• Growth- We use growing jaws to our advantage when treating children, but since growth is complete in adults, other approaches are required in some cases.
• Periodontal disease- Unmanaged gum disease can be made worse with orthodontic treatment, so we must work with your dentist or periodontist to get the disease under control first.
